In 2014, MADD Greater Fredericton held its first Strides for Change on Saturday June 7, 2014 at the Killarney Lake Rotary Centennial Lodge. The theme of the event was Everyday Heroes. We celebrated the heroes that walk among us. Our first responders, taxi drivers, those who report and stand up to impaired drivers, victims who speak out, and each and every man and woman who chooses to drive sober.
The weather cooperated and the event was a huge success. Almost 70 participants raised close to $17,000 for the local MADD Greater Fredericton Chapter. This money will go a long way in helping keep our roads and communities safer and support local victims of this violent crime.
A big thanks to our Corporate Sponsors: MURRAY DIGDON & DONOVAN, Allstate Insurance, Investors Group, Kelly Tirecraft, and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
A big thanks to our Choose Your Ride Sponsors: ABC Taxi, Fredericton Police Force, Green’s Auto Parts Ltd., and McAdam’s Funeral Home.
Special thanks to Maggie Delong for her efforts and donation – job well done!

What is Strides?
Strides for Change is MADD Canada’s annual non-competitive walk and wheelchair event. The walk offers corporations and individuals the unique opportunity to enhance health and safety in our communities.
Does the money stay here?
Every step taken and pledge received helps raise much needed funds that will go towards stopping impaired driving in Greater Fredericton and supporting local victims of this crime.
Thank you again to everyone who made the event possible! Hope to see you and your sneakers next year!
