Strides for Change is MADD Canada’s annual walk-a-thon
The annual 5 km walk supports Chapters and Community Leaders in their efforts to educate the public about the dangers of impaired driving and to help victims/survivors in their communities. The campaign is also an opportunity to keep safe and sober driving top of mind during the spring and summer months when the rate of alcohol-related crashes are traditionally higher.
Events are held in communities across Canada over the late spring and early summer. In addition to a leisurely walk along local parks or trails, the events feature a number of activities and attractions for participants.
MADD Edmonton & Area Strides for Change 2018
On Sunday, August 26th, 2018, please join MADD Edmonton & Area at Victoria Park Site #6 from 10am-2pm for our Strides for Change 5km walk/run. Registration starts at 9am. Please feel free to sign up as an individual, team or family.
This year we are celebrating all first responders, the victims advocates and everyone who chooses to drive sober.
This is a family-friendly event with the 5km walk/run, lunch, performances, kid’s activites and prizes. Prizes for the top fundraisers and most participants on a team.
All proceeds raised from Strides for Change will go to the MADD Edmonton Chapter and goes back into the community to raise awareness and educate on the dangers of impaired driving. Our mission is “to stop impaired driving and help the victims of this violent crime”.
