MADD Metro Vancouver is a volunteer-based, charitable grass roots organization. We support all communities within the greater Metro Vancouver area.
MADD Canada’s mission is to stop impaired driving and to support victims of this violent crime in every province and territory. Our mandate is to offer support services to victims, heighten awareness about the dangers of impaired driving, and to save lives and prevent injuries on Canadian roads and waterways.
Founded in 1989, MADD Canada consists of over 100 Chapters and Community Leaders across Canada and is supported by an extensive network of volunteers.
MADD Canada’s efforts are focused on five key areas:
- Youth Services
- Victim/Survivor Services
- Public Awareness and Education
- Public Policy
- Anti-Impaired Driving Technology
MADD Metro Vancouver is made up of mothers, fathers, students, business professionals and concerned citizens who are changing things for the better. We believe you do not need to be a victim/survivor of impaired driving to take action on this vital issue, though many of our supporters have been affected deeply by impaired driving.
Donations made to MADD Metro Vancouver stay in our city and help us to:
- support victims/survivors
- organize public awareness campaigns
- provide school outreach programs
- encourage legislative change
- organize community events
- operate Project Red Ribbon
- and support many more important initiatives
