Volunteer Opportunities

Strides for Change Volunteer – Commitment is for Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Canatara Park to help with our 1st Annual Strides for Change 5 km Walk and Wheelchair Event at Canatara Park. Various duties will include registration, water stations, barbeque, etc.

Candlelight Vigil Volunteer – Commitment is March to June each year, assisting in the organization of this annual event held for victims of impaired driving, local dignitaries, police, paramedics, firemen and the general public. A small reception follows the ceremony. A Police Clearance is required.

Victim Services Volunteer – Commitment is ongoing, providing emotional and practical support to victims/survivors of impaired driving by providing information, relevant resources, court accompaniment and other services, as appropriate. A Police Clearance is required together with online training.

Project Red Ribbon Volunteer – Commitment is October to December each year, assisting in the setup of 200 white crosses at a designated location. You will also distribute red ribbons and raise awareness about the dangers of impaired dirving by attending Sarnia/Lambton events and staff displays, booths and tables. Police Clearance is required.

Voluntary Tolls Volunteer – Commitment is September to November each year, assisting in the organization of this annual fundraiser, helping to coordinate 80 college students and volunteers at various retail parking lots in Sarnia/Lambton. A Police Clearance is required.
