The OPP are disappointed in the results of this year’s Festive RIDE campaign.

Between November 24, 2014 and January 2, 2015 officers charged 593 people with impaired driving and issued 485 warn range suspensions across the province.

One person died in an alcohol-related collision on December 20.

During last year’s campaign, the OPP charged 587 people with impaired driving and issued 504 suspensions. A total of three people were killed as a result of drunk driving crashes.

More than 8,000 RIDE programs were set up in Ontario over the six week period.
