A 22-year-old Sarnia man faces several charges after a vehicle crashed through the gate of a compound Saturday.
City police say the locked compound of a Confederation St. business was broken into and a pick-up truck taken that was then driven through the gate.
Police say a male suspect was also involved in a single vehicle collision a short time later at the intersection of East St. and Kathleen Ave. before fleeing on foot.
He was arrested a short distance away and taken to police headquarters where police say he blew almost twice the legal limit.
He’s been charged with impaired driving, break and enter, theft and failing to remain.
