On August 28, 2014 just before 12:00 a.m. Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers, were conducting a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) program on Lakeshore Road near Egremont Road.
During this R.I.D.E. program, a Toyota vehicle, with two male occupants, stopped at the checkpoint as required. A subsequent investigation into findings of the OPP officers during this particular stop, ended with both the driver and passenger being arrested and charged.
The male driver, 30 years of age from Sarnia, has a Sarnia court date of October 6, 2014 to answer to the charges of Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams and Drive While Ability Impaired (Drug).
The passenger,a 24 years of age male from Sarnia, also has a Sarnia court date of October 6, 2014 to answer to two counts of Possession of Marihuana under 30 grams.
